“Christ became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name.” Philippians 2. 8–9

Today we enter Holy Week, the climax of our Lenten journey with Jesus, the Christ. Join us at 1701 Elgin Rd at 10am as we gather to listen for the Word of God and to pray, or join us live online as we stream the service.

The service begins with the Procession with the Palms, commemorating the beginning of this climactic week and the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Then, we hear the full story of the Passion from the Gospel of Matthew, told by multiple voices.

Readings and prayers will be led by Elizabeth Bergen, Gillian Fosdick, Bob Gill, Jackie Hiebert, Kat McCann, and St Mary’s Singers. Music by Bob Gill (psalm cantor), St Mary's Singers and Curt Bergen, Music Director.

Readings: Matthew 21. 1-11 (The Palm Gospel), Philippians 2. 5-11, Psalm 31. 9-16, and Matthew 26. 14 – 27. 66.
