It’s nearly Summertime, and so it’s time to stock up on books for the beach and the lake—and help do some good along the way—at the Churchmouse Books’ Summer Book Sale, where we’re Celebrating All Things Green.

You’ll find the usual wide collection of pre-owned books in excellent condition—thousands and thousands of them, on the shelves, on tables, and in the pews, each with its own story to tell. Returning by popular demand are previously-enjoyed puzzles of all kinds.

You can also participate in a silent auction of some particularly valuable books in our collection.

And it doesn’t end there: stick around on the patio and in the garden for pulled pork sliders and hot dogs, hot and cold beverages and a chat with your neighbours.

So, come and browse the books and enjoy the community. Bring your friends. Bring your children. Bring the dog or cat. Admission is free. Donations of even more books are welcome!

The Churchmouse Bookshop—which is also open every Saturday, 10am - 1pm—receives used books in great condition from the Greater Victoria community and gives them out to new owners in return for cash donations in support of St. Mary’s charity efforts and partners. Our three main charity partners are the Food Bank at St. John the Divine, on Quadra and Mason, plus Threshold Housing Society and Our Place Society.
