In the Christian calendar, the weeks of Lent have traditionally been set aside as a particular time of study and reflection. This Lent, you are invited into a thoughtful, hope‑filled conversation about faith, doubt, and the deep questions that shape our lives today. Our Lenten book study will explore Living the Questions: The Wisdom of Progressive Christianity by David M. Felten and Jeff Procter‑Murphy—a welcoming and accessible guide for people who care about the Christian story but may feel distanced by how the Church has sometimes addressed complex issues.
Rather than offering easy answers or rigid conclusions, this study creates space to re‑examine difficult topics with honesty, compassion, and trust. Many traditional approaches have left recent generations feeling judged, excluded, or disconnected from the boundless love of God. Living the Questions invites us to consider fresh, faithful perspectives that expand—rather than limit—our understanding of grace, justice, and belonging.
Rooted in the Gospel, this Lenten journey emphasizes hope over fear and conversation over certainty. Participants are encouraged to listen deeply, speak respectfully, and reflect together on the issues that matter in a challenging and divided world. Whether you are rebuilding your faith, rethinking long‑held assumptions, or simply curious, this study offers a supportive environment where questions are welcomed as part of spiritual growth.
