You guessed it! Back to our regular schedule of the second Wednesday of the month, the Churchmouse is opening the doors After Hours for another monthly coffeehouse:

“Belonging”

Land and rootedness. Displacement. Togetherness. Sense of place. The need to belong is profoundly human. It’s also elusive, and often thwarted by politics, injustice, by chance, or the choices we make.

Local authors and performers will share stories, songs and poems. And audience members are also invited to participate with a favourite poem, song or short tale. Or just come listen and enjoy!

Churchmouse After Hours is a monthly neighbourhood coffeehouse with songs, stories, poems and prose on a rotating theme. All are welcome to listen or join in. Note: This is not a literary open-mic. Though local authors do participate, we are all readers sharing work we enjoy and admire. Second Wed of each month at 7 pm at The Churchmouse Bookshop at St. Mary’s, Oak Bay, 1701 Elgin Rd.

Admission by donation. Proceeds in support of community charities.
