In 2007 Catherine McFadden Dunning Young first began organising 'seasonal' concert series at St Mary's, raising funds for a local charity. Catherine passed away peacefully in 2020, but her legacy continues of supporting young and established musicians, local good works, and the community as a whole.

On the Journey is the concert series for the season of Lent, recognising that we continue to travel a road of growth, mutual support, and transformation during these years of the pandemic. We trust that the music of composers past and present, brought to life anew by hands and breath young and mature, will accompany us on our pilgrimage towards the Light.

The Concerts

Concerts will be offered simultaneously in-person and online (according current health restrictions, proof of vaccination will be required for in-person attendance, and masks must be worn indoors). You can watch the concerts online on the St Mary's website on each concert's event page (see below for links), on our live stream page, and on our Facebook Page. Please don't forget to take a moment to make a donation in support of our charity parter for the series, the Victoria Hospice Society's Bereavement Services.
