St Mary's seeks part-time Creative Coordinator

The Church of St Mary the Virgin, in Oak Bay, is seeking a part-time Creative Coordinator to provide leadership in promoting music and arts events at St Mary’s that serve the wider community.

St Mary’s, Oak Bay, already has a history of bringing local musicians and community together, through our Advent and Lent noon concert series, and through partnerships with local and emerging performers in the St Mary’s Presents concert series. Musicians and concert attendees alike love the vibrant acoustic, and everyone enjoys the warm ethos of welcome for which St Mary’s has become well known.

We are excited to explore how this new position of Creative Coordinator will enhance our ability to foster community in our neighbourhoods and beyond, possibly expanding into visual and other art forms. The Creative Coordinator will have a chance to develop space for the Arts in Victoria, work creatively and collaboratively with local artists, and play a key role in St Mary’s work in and for the community.

We expect the position to require 10 hours/week on average – cyclical depending on event frequency – and will pay $1,400/month.
