Even though the restriction on large gatherings in the Time of COVID-19 means we cannot attend the traditional November 11 cenotaph services in person, it doesn't mean we cannot take time to Remember those who have lost their lives in times of conflict. Over the week leading up to November 11, you are invited to take a moment in St Mary's Memorial Garden to visit and contribute to The Community Poppy Project: spend some time in personal reflection or prayer, and place a red or black stone or two as part of the emerging poppy in the centre of the courtyard.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
